Jaguar details the technology behind the I-Pace

The Japanese OEM has revealed its all-new powertrain system which is set to be installed in 80% of Toyota vehicles by 2023. Based on the Toyota New Global Architecture, the technology will feature a new continuously variable transmission (CVT), a 6-speed manual transmission and a 2.0-liter hybridized engine unit.

Application Development Engineer Automotive (DSM)

The Challenge
The Application Development Engineer (ADE) Automotive is responsible for creating new business opportunities for the automotive “under the hood” segment, with focus on Germany. Teaming up with commercial functions, you will combine DEP’s Materials Science know-how, product data and development capability with application know-how and thus facilitate developments at our customers. With that team you will develop new and existing applications and translate our customer needs into material requirements in order to achieve profitable new business development.
The ADE develops technical know-how for the relevant (global) application and develops multiplication tools for successful application/product combinations
Through Application Leadership DSM is continuing to grow its market share, in your position you will be regarded as an authority in your application area; speaking at conferences and building relationships with customers' engineering departments.

The Ideal
 – We require an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, self-motivated, result oriented and persuasive person.
– Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in polymer science or (automotive) mechanical engineering.
– Affinity with and conceptual understanding of automotive technology, a thorough knowledge on polymeric materials CAE and plastic part design.
– Proficient in spoken German
– It is imperative that you have good overall communication and social skills as well as commercial

In this role you report to the Manager Application Development of DSM Engineering Plastics Europe and you will be part of our European Sales & Marketing team. This role is based in Geleen, the Netherlands.
