Jaguar details the technology behind the I-Pace

Fitted with a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 – McLaren’s most powerful IC engine ever produced for a road car – the limited release hypercar will develop 800ps and 800Nm.

The Japanese OEM has revealed its all-new powertrain system which is set to be installed in 80% of Toyota vehicles by 2023. Based on the Toyota New Global Architecture, the technology will feature a new continuously variable transmission (CVT), a 6-speed manual transmission and a 2.0-liter hybridized engine unit.

Duties and Requirements
• Install and configure desktop software on PCs and servers
• Setup, install and troubleshoot computers
• Assist users with basic computer and software support
• Working knowledge of basic PC hardware, operating system software – Windows 7, 8
• Install, configure and maintain network and communication equipment
• Work with software and hardware vendors to resolve and fix computer problems
• Provide user support for connection issues and problems
• Perform such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct; ensure adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality; establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department.

Required Training, Knowledge and Experience
• Knowledge and skills of computer systems analysis and development typically evidenced by three or more years of experience and/or a bachelor’s degree, or pursuing a bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft application software such as Office, Visio and Access
• Basic computer networking skills
• Good communications skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Local Area Networks (LANs), network protocols and network devices (hubs, routers, switches) preferred

Essential Functions
• Regular and predictable attendance working evenings/weekends as necessary
• Training in or experience with Windows Servers, Exchange, Active Directory
• Administration, implementation and maintenance of hardware, software and communication platforms that support the company networks
• Assisting staff in remaining current on new technology

Physical Requirements
• Occasionally lifts and carries up to 20 pounds
• Maneuvers in, around, under, and about factory and/or laboratory equipment on a regular and continuous basis
• Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting, and bending
• Works at telephone and a PC
• Works within a components manufacturing, office, and laboratory setting and is exposed to heat, cold, wet, and fumes/chemicals
• Regularly travels to plant and customer sites
